Rev. Scott Nichols
Rev. Scott Nichols is the Vice President of Ministry and Mission Integration at Methodist Healthcare Ministries. With over 30 years of experience in ministry and military chaplaincy, Scott brings a unique blend of spiritual leadership, strategic insight, and compassionate care to his role. He began his career in service as a member of the Ohio Army National Guard and later earned his Master of Divinity from the Methodist Theological School in Ohio. Scott served as a pastor in multiple congregations and as a U.S. Army Chaplain, providing spiritual support in global deployments including Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kosovo. He retired in 2023 as a Lieutenant Colonel, honored with numerous commendations for his leadership and service.
In 2024, he joined Methodist Healthcare Ministries, where he continues to embody and promote Christ-centered care and compassion in healthcare settings. Scott is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Divinity and is deeply committed to fostering spiritual resiliency and inclusive care. A devoted husband and father, Scott enjoys fishing, boating, and spending time with his family in San Antonio. He lives by the guiding principle: “People don’t care about what you have to say until they know you care.”
