Directions

You're invited to attend Motivational Interviewing for Organizational Change, hosted by Methodist Healthcare Ministries and facilitated by the National Council for Behavioral Health, in Laredo, Texas.

Being in a leadership role can be both exciting and exhausting.  How can we best tap into our staff strengths?  How do we motivate and inspire in such a rapidly changing environment? In this workshop, we will share Motivational Interviewing (MI) strategies developed specifically for leaders within organizations that engage with the community.  Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative communication style designed to engage and elicit change.  In this Leadership course, participants will unpack the complexities of both individual and system-level change and then apply the process of MI to the typical scenarios they encounter. The one-day workshop will include facilitated conversations about leading change and the development of a learning plan to strengthen leadership skills for the pparticipant and their organization.

This workshop is open to all leaders in the community who are in positions to enact or influence change within their organization. One of the goals is to see leaders implement the strategies they have learned during this workshop as part of their future leadership practices with staff, clients, and the community.  We encourage Executive Directors, Managers, Supervisors, and other staff who are in leadership roles within their organizations to attend. This session is free to attend. Lunch will be provided.
