Methodist Healthcare Ministries is a governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors. The board plays an essential role in ensuring Methodist Healthcare Ministries continues to minister to the needs of the underserved in South Texas, and that we remain a caring and committed entity long into the future.

    Kevin C. MoriartyPresident & Chief Executive Officer

    Kevin C. Moriarty is the founding President & CEO at Methodist Healthcare Ministries where he is responsible for setting the overall direction for the organization, executive administration of the primary care medical and dental clinics Methodist Healthcare Ministries owns and operates, and providing policy guidance to the Methodist Healthcare Ministries board of directors. Prior to serving at Methodist Healthcare Ministries, Moriarty served as a public official with the City of San Antonio for more than 20 years. Moriarty earned a bachelor's degree from St. Francis College and a master's degree from City University of New York.

    George ThomasChief Operating Officer

    George Thomas is the first Chief Operating Officer to serve at Methodist Healthcare Ministries. He is responsible for the overall performance of the operations and service delivery at Methodist Healthcare Ministries including overseeing a budget of $75.9 million and more than 320 team members. George earned a bachelor's degree from Montclair State University; a master's degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Dallas; and a master's degree, cum laude, from the University of Dallas. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

    Anthony "Tony" LoBassoChief Financial Officer

    Anthony "Tony" LoBasso is the Chief Financial Officer at Methodist Healthcare Ministries where he is responsible for the overall financial health of the organization. He has nearly 30 years of experience in the finance and accounting industry. Prior to joining Methodist Healthcare Ministries, Tony served with CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System as regional vice president of finance. Tony earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Health Care Financial Managers Association.

    Dr. Edward DickSenior Vice President of Integrated Health Services, Medical Services

    Edward Dick, MD is the Senior Vice President of Integrated Health Services, Medical Services at Methodist Healthcare Ministries. His role includes leadership of Methodist Healthcare Ministries’ family medicine providers and primary care clinics, which provide vital services for low income and uninsured residents in Bexar and surrounding counties. Dr. Dick brings more than 20 years of clinical practice experience to his role with a focus on population health and health promotion. He earned a doctor of medicine degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas and earned a master’s degree in public health from the University of Texas School of Public Health in Houston, Texas. He also earned a diploma in tropical medicine and hygiene from the University of Alabama, Gorgas Memorial Institute in Birmingham, Alabama. He is board certified in family medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

    Marc C. RaneySenior Vice President of Resource Development

    Marc C. Raney is the Senior Vice President of Resource Development at Methodist Healthcare Ministries where he is responsible for the development of organizational strategies to support Methodist Healthcare Ministries' resource development objectives. His career includes a role as vice president for advancement at Trinity University in San Antonio where he served for more than 30 years. Marc earned a bachelor's degree from Southwestern University and a master's degree from Boston College.

    Peggy J. CaryVice President of Finance & Audit Services

    Peggy J. Cary is the Vice President of Finance & Audit Services for Methodist Healthcare Ministries. Prior to this role, Peggy served as Methodist Healthcare Ministries' Chief Financial Officer from 1995-2013. She earned a bachelor's degree from Angelo State University and is a certified public accountant. In 2013, the San Antonio Business Journal named Peggy one of San Antonio's "Best CFO's."

    Jennifer Knoulton is the Vice President of Regional Operations, Nursing at Methodist Healthcare Ministries. Bringing more than 18 years of experience to the role, she is responsible for the operations, financial management, quality and patient satisfaction of the nursing department; including oversight of the Wesley Nurse program—Methodist Healthcare Ministries’ largest outreach program. Jennifer earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and is a registered nurse."

    Oanh H. Maroney-OmitadeVice President of Clinical Operations

    Oanh H. Maroney-Omitade is the Vice President of Clinical Operations at Methodist Healthcare Ministries where she is responsible for the operations of the organization’s community health programs, including medical, dental, behavioral health and nutrition services, as well as parenting and recreation and enrichment programs. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and a master’s degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Oanh was named “One of San Antonio’s Rising Stars” under the age of 40 by the San Antonio Business Journal in 2003 and has also been selected to appear in the 2014 inaugural edition of Who’s Who San Antonio Women.

    Cindy McCloyVice President of Accounting & Controller

    Cindy McCloy is the Vice President of Accounting & Controller at Methodist Healthcare Ministries and brings more than 30 years of nonprofit experience to her role where she is responsible for overseeing the accounting, accounts payable and payroll departments; including budgeting, financial forecasting and reporting, tax returns and financial audits. She also supervises more than $24 million in community grants that Methodist Healthcare Ministries awards annually. Cindy earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and is a member of the Leadership Texas Class of 2014.

    Dianne R. DorsettBoard Liaison

    Dianne R. Dorsett is the Board Liaison at Methodist Healthcare Ministries where she is responsible for building and fostering relationships, keeping the CEO well-informed of all board-related activity, working with partners at Methodist Healthcare System, Methodist Healthcare Ministries’ legal counsel, team members and the public. She has served at Methodist Healthcare Ministries since 1995 with previous posts as the director of board and public relations and director of administrative services. Dianne is a member of the Leadership Texas Class of 2013 and Leadership America Class of 2014.

    Anne N. ConnorDirector of Community Grants

    Anne N. Connor is the Director of Community Grants at Methodist Healthcare Ministries bringing more than 15 years of experience to her role where she is responsible for the management of more than $24 million in community grants made to organizations who share Methodist Healthcare Ministries’ mission, and is also responsible for seeking large grants for collaborative work in South Texas. She earned a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Dartmouth College and a master’s degree from the University of New Mexico.

    Mark Holliday is the Director of Information Technology & Services at Methodist Healthcare Ministries where he is responsible for the implementation, monitoring, evaluation and oversight of operations involving Internet technologies. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and currently serves on the board of directors for two local organizations. Mark is also a FAA certified pilot, certified diver, licensed massage therapist and certified in mediation.

    Bryan JaaxInvestment Director

    Bryan Jaax is the Investment Director at Methodist Healthcare Ministries where he manages a varied portfolio of investments, including traditional stock and bond allocations, hedge funds and private equity. He is heavily involved in Methodist Healthcare Ministries’ cash planning processes and plays a substantial role in the oversight of Methodist Healthcare Ministries’ retirement plans for its team members. Bryan earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley and a master’s degree from Rice University. He is a chartered financial analyst and currently a candidate for the chartered alternative investment analyst designation.

    Bridget Lamme-KerrDirector of Human Resources

    Bridget Lamme-Kerr, PHR, is the Director of Human Resources at Methodist Healthcare Ministries where she is responsible for the organization’s human resource operations for over 350 team members. Bridget is a seasoned leader, bringing over 18 years of HR experience to her role as a former vice president of human resources at Harland Clarke (formerly Clarke American, Inc.), Hawkins Personnel Group and Motorola AIEG. She is an active member of the Junior League of San Antonio where she currently serves on the Goodwill Partnership Committee. Bridget earned a bachelor’s degree from Angelo State University with a double major in marketing and management. She is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management and has held the prestigious Professional in Human Resources (PHR) designation since 2002.

    Donald A. "Don" Langreich, Jr.Director of Clinic Services & Charity Care

    Donald A. “Don” Langreich, Jr. is the Director of Clinic Services & Charity Care at Methodist Healthcare Ministries overseeing dental services, clinic administration services, specialty/charity referral services, pharmacy operations & services and the School Based Health Centers. He provides guidance and training to maintain standards and regulatory compliance, as well as recommends product selection, formulary development, and facility compliance with health delivery & care standards. Don works with the clinic operations team to develop, implement, and monitor needs for care delivery, current and future projects, and policy. Currently, Don is a member of the Medical Group Management Association. Prior to joining Methodist Healthcare Ministries, Don served in the United States Marine Corps and retired from the Army with 26 years of uniformed service.

    Linda LopezDirector of Administrative Services & Facilities

    Linda Lopez is the Director of Administrative Services & Facilities at Methodist Healthcare Ministries where she is responsible for leading a team of over 25 highly effective administrative professionals, facility maintenance and food service personnel. Linda develops and maintains comprehensive organizational procedures that improve processes throughout the company. In addition, she serves on several committees and task force teams playing a significant role in developing and implementing a variety of initiatives to enhance Methodist Healthcare Ministries’ mission and goals. Linda is an active member of the Association for Healthcare Administrative Professionals and the International Facility Management Association.

    Rev. Mickey T. McCandlessDirector of Church Connections

    Rev. Mickey T. McCandless is the Director of Church Connections at Methodist Healthcare Ministries and is currently serving his fifth appointment in the Rio Texas Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church. Rev. McCandless earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s in divinity from the Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He was ordained as a deacon in 1987 and an elder in 1990 within the Rio Texas Conference of The United Methodist Church.

    Patricia MejiaDirector of Community Engagement

    Patricia Mejia is the Director of Community Engagement at Methodist Healthcare Ministries where she oversees the organization’s regional strategies and collective impact initiatives by interfacing with stakeholders, funded partners and localized churches. She is responsible for forming collaborative partnerships that establish a shared community vision to facilitate systems and social change as well as leveraging philanthropic investments. Patricia earned a master’s degree from St. Mary’s University and has completed doctoral coursework from Brandeis University. As a National Hispana Leadership Institute Fellow, she completed the Executive Leadership Program through the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard. She has studied interfaith community development projects in Bangladesh, Honduras, and Turkey, and she currently serves as Board chair of Network, a national Catholic social justice lobby.

    Jessica Munoz is the Director of Communications at Methodist Healthcare Ministries where she oversees the visibility of the organization internally and externally through corporate communications, special events, public relations, social media and marketing campaigns. She is responsible for preserving the Methodist Healthcare Ministries brand and ensuring proper representation with strategic initiatives and key objectives.     Christine "Chris" YanasDirector of Government Relations

    Christine “Chris” Yanas, is the Director of Governmental Affairs at Methodist Healthcare Ministries where she is responsible for the organization’s policy and legislative agenda. Chris is an experienced government relations professional at the state and federal level with more than 10 years of specialized knowledge and experience in safety net hospital and health care public policy. She is committed to supporting the least served through advocacy and education. Previously, Chris served as the vice president of operations and advocacy at Teaching Hospitals of Texas (THOT) in Austin, TX where she advocated on behalf of the state’s largest teaching hospitals on issues involving Medicaid and uncompensated care funding, health care workforce, trauma funding and the integration of behavioral health. Prior to THOT, Chris served as the director of governmental relations and public policy for the University Health System. Her professional experience also includes more than 15 years as a legislative aide at the Texas State Capitol. Chris earned a bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin, cum laude, with a double major in English and government.
